Public Art
At Highland Hospital, we're big believers in the healing arts, the medical arts
and the cultural arts. As an integral part of the ATR Project's investment in health and healing, our Public Art Program will commission original paintings, sculptures, and other works by local artists. Displayed in entrances, lobbies, corridors,
even outdoor spaces, these works of art will create a positive, supportive, and
healing environment for our patients, their families, visitors, and hospital staff.
The Alameda County Arts Commission is dedicated
to improving the quality of life in Alameda County
by nurturing a thriving environment for the arts...
Our Public Arts Program seeks to...
- Illuminate the diverse cultures of this region and promoting respect for all people.
- Recognize the hospital's history and honor its historic integrity.
- Embrace outdoor environments as healing spaces.
- Provide economic opportunities for our community's emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
